There are lots of different items around your house that can be used for multiple things. For instance, when packing your pots or crock pots, place your spices in there. Your kitchen knives can also easily be protected by sliding them into your hot pads or oven mitts. When packing up your glass wear or dishes, you can save money on bubble wrap by wrapping them in clean socks or kitchen towels.

Think Outside of the Box

Another way to keep your items safe and still organized during your move is to put your jewelry into an egg carton. This allows them to not get tangled during your move. Also, during your move, you may have liquids to pack and the last thing you want to happen is to have them spill everywhere and ruin something. A pro tip is to open them up and place some plastic wrap over the opening, then screw the caps back on. An easy fix to save from a big mess!
